Jasmin Stevenson was always the sporty one at school. She was in all the rugby, netball, softball, hockey and tennis teams she could be. And now she's on her way to being a pro.

Jasmin moved to England with her family nine years ago, so her dad could work. After starting at Lord Williams College, a talent scout picked her out when she was playing softball. Now jasmin, 17 years old is in the Great Britain Juniors softball team. She is the youngest Maori, to ever be accepted into this Under18 team. In fact, she's the only one.

Jasmin has travelled all over Europe to play for this team, and has been doing so for three years. "Getting to travel around Europe was the best part" she says, "Up until i came here I had never left the country". She also travelled to America last month to play for the team. On top of this she is in a number of rugby teams, including the Under18 team in her area. The softball team has won many championships, including the Belgean Invitational, which is a collection of softball teams from all over Europe which play against each other.

In February, Jasmin will leave all of this behind, so she can attend College in Canada. Hopefully she can join a team there and carry on to be in the American team. "That would be the best!"
